Listening Is More Powerful Than Talking
Have you ever met with someone who, right out of the gate, starts talking 100 miles per hour and it’s all about them? They know what you need before you tell them where you are coming from. These people drive me crazy!
One of my clients was shocked when I showed up to an interview with a blank piece of paper and listened to them talk for 2 hours. I took notes and commented when appropriate.
They thought they were interviewing me but it was really the other way around. I need to know if I can help someone before I start a coaching relationship with them.
